费什伯恩 Military School Earns Honors at AMCSUS Conference.
弗吉尼亚州亚历山大—— The 费什伯恩 Military School Corps of 学员 was honored on Monday evening during the annual Association of Military Colleges 和 Schools of the United States (AMCSUS) conference for their performance in two competitions held at the end of 2019.
The Caissons earned First Place in the AMSCUS PT Challenge 和 Third Place in the AMCSUS Logic Bowl. Both competitions were open to all of the Association’s member schools which includes military schools of all sizes 和 grade levels from all across the country.
FMS Superintendent, CAPTAIN Mark Black, 美国海军(退役), who attended the AMCSUS Conference 和 Awards Banquet on behalf of 费什伯恩 Military School expressed his pride in the Caissons. “I want to stress my heartfelt congratulations to our young men who represented themselves 和 their school in such high fashion. 费什伯恩 Military School was one of only three schools, whether senior military colleges, junior colleges or high schools, recognized multiple times during the awards ceremony. Job well done, gentlemen.”
Although 费什伯恩 Military School is the smallest of all schools competing, the mighty Caissons from Waynesboro took home hardware that required both brains 和 brawn.

In the Logic Bowl competition, 学员 were required to take a 1-hour computer-based examination consisting of mathematics problems, 字谜, 逻辑谜语, 和 spatial relations exercises. The team of 学员 from 费什伯恩 Military School took the exam late last year 和 learned on Tuesday night that they took Third Place.
For the PT (Physical Training) Competition, 学员 were required to complete as many pushups 和 situps as they could in one minute (per exercise) 和 then run 1.5 miles for the best time. The team from 费什伯恩 earned First Place in the High School category.
